If you're looking for a distinctive scent and only want to buy 1 or 2 bottles for your collection, you should consider Creed Aventus. Creed Aventus is easily a signature scent, meaning you can use it all season long and on all occasions. However, Aventus prefers warmer days and days to cold winters and nights. But like I said, it's going to look good every time.
Creed Aventus Cologne isn't a global cologne by any means, that said, you can tell at first glance that it's a wonderfully composed fragrance (Acqua Di Gio vibrations). The most important thing to know here is that Creed Aventus never comes in plastic packaging. I've completely given up on the OG Aventus, but Aventus Colonge fills the void left by the reformulated OG. It's really good and, personally, I like it better than the original version of Creed Aventus without cologne.
It will be interesting to see if it causes me the same nasal fatigue as Aventus. In fact, I don't use Aventus that often for this reason. I love using it after the shower (where I use Aventus soap, which complements it perfectly) and also after shaving with Aventus soap; that combination makes it come to life beautifully. The Aventus cologne smells like a lighter version of Aventus and the performance isn't as good as that of Aventus, but it's still good.
It has the DNA of Creed Aventus, without a doubt, but on my nose it's fresher, it has notes of leather, pepper that mixes well and I love smoky drying. I think it's almost great and will wear out really bad this summer, but I really hope Creed will try an Aventus Extrait next time. I think that what Creed got wrong, and that's where a lot of the negativity of Aventus Cologne comes from, is the expectation. Aventus Cologne is the perfume with which I have received the most compliments, much more than Aventus or Chanel Bleu EdP.
However, as I said before, scammers have evolved and many of them show lots of Creed Aventus on the bottles. In general, this is what Creed Aventus smells like, but keep in mind that some notes are stronger in some batches and that opening and drying also vary. Creed Aventus left its mark on the industry as the king of controversy, polarizing quality and the subject of many controversies. Last but not least, perhaps the best way to find out if you're buying a fake Creed Aventus is the price.
